If you are a creator, your LinkedIn profile contains a lot of valuable information: your posts, articles, comments, professional profile, and other content you create on the platform.
If you are also checking how other social platforms use your content for AI training, Sparkonomy’s free Creator AI Consent Audit can help you review available opt-outs and understand where platform controls still have limits.
The good news is that LinkedIn gives members a direct opt-out setting.
Go to your LinkedIn Settings.
Then follow:
Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Data for Generative AI Improvement
You should see a toggle next to Data for Generative AI Improvement.
Turn it Off.

Once you turn the setting off, LinkedIn says it and its affiliates will stop using the data and content you provided on LinkedIn to train content-generating AI models going forward.
There are two important limits.
First, turning the setting off does not affect AI training that has already taken place.
Second, the setting applies to generative AI models that create content, such as models used for suggested posts or messages. It does not cover every AI or machine-learning system LinkedIn may use for areas such as personalization, safety, security, or anti-abuse.
LinkedIn also says information you voluntarily include in feedback about its AI features may still be used to improve its generative AI models even after you turn this setting off.
LinkedIn is only one platform, and AI-training controls are different across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and others.
Sparkonomy’s free Creator AI Consent Audit helps you check which AI-training controls are available across your social accounts, where you can opt out, and what those settings still cannot protect.
