PRIYANSH GOEL
Founding Engineer, Sparkonomy | AI Infrastructure Builder | Backend Systems Specialist
“ I am a founding engineer at Sparkonomy, where I build multimodal retrieval systems across video, image, and text. My work focuses on the unseen infrastructure behind AI products, from ingestion and vector indexing to hybrid search, re-ranking, and keeping retrieval fast enough to work in production.”
Building AI infrastructure and backend systems across:
From Backend Systems to Creator Infrastructure
I have always been drawn to systems that solve real problems. Not just clean code. Not just polished demos. But technology that reduces work, saves time, and quietly makes a business easier to run.
Over the last few years, I have worked across SMB workflows, logistics, healthcare, AI-led automation, and creator tech. Each space looked different from the outside. But the deeper problem was often the same: too much manual work, scattered systems, and not enough infrastructure that could carry real business pressure.
That is what pulled me deeper into backend architecture and AI infrastructure.
At StepNex Technologies, I learned what it means to build for small and mid-sized businesses in India. These businesses do not need complicated software that looks impressive in a demo. They need systems that simplify workflows, reduce friction, and help teams get work done faster.
Running StepNex also taught me to see the business behind the build. Unit economics. Customer needs. Operational pain. Technical bets that compound. The difference between a feature people praise and a system people actually use.
“I learned that the best systems do not show off. They remove friction.”
Today, that belief shapes my work at Sparkonomy.
As a founding engineer, I am building the retrieval layer that helps AI understand unstructured creator content at scale. That means video, image, and text need to become searchable, useful, and meaningful inside one intelligent system.
The creator economy is full of messy, rich, human content. For AI to help creators and brands, it first needs to retrieve the right context at the right moment.
That is the part I build.
The ingestion pipelines. The chunks. The embeddings. The vector databases. The hybrid search. The re-ranking. The latency trade-offs.
These are the invisible systems most users will never see, but they will feel them when the product works smoothly.
For me, engineering is not just about building what is possible. It is about building what holds up in production, works for real users, and turns unstructured content into measurable value.
About Priyansh
Priyansh Goel is a founding engineer at Sparkonomy, where he builds production-scale multimodal retrieval systems for the creator economy. His work focuses on the infrastructure that helps AI products understand and search across video, image, and text with speed, accuracy, and reliability.
At Sparkonomy, Priyansh owns the retrieval pipeline end to end. His work spans ingestion, chunking, vector indexing, hybrid search, and re-ranking. He also works on the recall-latency trade-off at scale, the quiet technical decision that affects product speed, infrastructure cost, and the quality of AI responses.
Before Sparkonomy, Priyansh was the Founder and CEO of StepNex Technologies, where he built scalable ERP systems for SMBs across India. That founder experience shaped how he thinks about software. He learned to build for real business needs, customer behavior, and operational efficiency, not just technical elegance.
His earlier work spans machine learning, backend systems, enterprise analytics, logistics infrastructure, and AI-driven workflow automation. At Smollan, he worked on LLM-based data analytics for enterprise sales data using machine learning, Python, SQL, data visualization, and RAG techniques. At Constituents AI, he built backend infrastructure for RFID-based cargo logistics, AI meal planning, and email marketing automation systems.
Priyansh works across Python, JavaScript, Go, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and vector databases. His current focus includes RAG, ANN search, embeddings, multimodal retrieval, model economics, and AI infrastructure that can become a long-term product moat.
At Sparkonomy, Priyansh brings together engineering depth and founder instinct. He is not only building retrieval systems because they are technically interesting. He is building them because creator-tech products need strong infrastructure to turn unstructured creator content into real business value.
